This Page Is Theological. How Important is the Knowledge of God?
Jesus said to the woman at the well of Samaria that the Samaritans worshipped "ye know not what" [John 4]. This is the very definition of idolatry, for eternal life is the knowledge of God [John 17]. On this page, we will have links to articles that treat with the knowledge of God.

Attributes of God
On the left is a picture of John Calvin, the greatest of theologians. Calvin's writings, especially the Institutes of the Christian Religion, systemtized the theology of the Reformation. Calvin did for the Reformation what Aquinas had done for the theology of the Middle Ages and what Augustine had done for the first five centuries of Christianity.

Click on Brother John and enjoy! The click will take you to several documents which discuss the attributes of God. There is also a chart comparing the attributes of God with the attributes of men.

Other Features to Come

This picture of the beautiful fall aspens that cover the mountains of Colorado in the fall was taken in 2006 near Steamboat Springs, Colorado.  They were the last remnant of the grove that are seen in the foreground in that spot.  Most of those seen were barren of leaves, for this was taken in late fall.   This picture will be linked to other features of Basket of Figs as we expand this site.
